The Clean Energy Regulator has partnered with industry to implement the Solar Panel Validation (SPV) Initiative. SPV aims to protect the integrity of the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) and give industry and consumers an easy way to check and confirm whether the solar panels installed are genuine and approved modules, backed by manufacturer warranties and meet Australian standards.
SPV provides customers with an electronic record of confirmation their installed solar panels are verified as part of SPV. The record includes information such as the make and model of the solar panels, their serial numbers, the time and date of installation and the location. Customers are now asking solar businesses if they are participating in SPV and for a record of verification for their solar panels.
Greenbot Platform and App Development:
What’s happening with Greenbot?
Greenbot has been updated in the back-end to include the Solar Panel Validation (SPV) system. This system helps protect the integrity of the SRES scheme by verifying if serial numbers for panels entered into the system are genuine panels. This is a major change. This update introduces new features, making validating jobs quicker and more efficient. The final update will occur once internal testing is complete.
What happened with payments?
When Greenbot update was rolled out, we noticed a few issues, including duplicate payments, payments not being registered, payments being set to the wrong payment date and payments being deleted.
How is this being resolved?
Firstly, we removed the problematic payment options to stop this from happening again. Secondly, our Opti-pay rate (payment on Clean Energy Regulator approval) is the highest on the market. We want trading with Greenbot to always be your best option, so we provided what is easily the best price available. Our development team is working on quickly rectifying all issues and incorporating the SPV.
What should I do next?
If you have received a double payment, please let us know, we will adjust the payment with your next submission.
If payment has not been made, please verify that it is firstly in our system. Further, please verify which trade option was selected.
If the payment is on the system but late, please be advised that we have moved all payments forward. It’s best to check with your dedicated account manager to verify payment status.
What will happen next?
We have moved all pending payments that we have identified forward manually, meaning they will be paid this week at some point. There are a fair few payments that need to be manually entered and as such, it is taking a bit of time. We are doing our absolute best to clear the backlog. If you are concerned about a particular payment, please feel free to contact your dedicated account manager.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact your dedicated account manager.
We sincerely thank all users for their patience and understanding.
